I would like to move to posting downtimes on this board rather than handling them entirely via email. This will make it easier to archive what's going on in downtime and improve continuity between storytellers and assistants.
It is my hope that people who want to use downtimes frequently will use a private board in the IC section for this purpose. If you submit a downtime to me via email (preferably at anutwell{at} gmail.com) I will post it to an IC board created for your character. These boards will be private to everyone but you and staff.
I make a distinction between logging downtime actions and submitting something for consideration for downtime XP. I will not award XP to a character just because downtime actions have been logged for that character.
If you want to log downtime actions please note your resolve (or the level of the background you are executing an action through) and then a brief description of each action you want to take.
If you would like to submit something for consideration for downtime XP, here are my expectations:
Your submission will contain a goal. That can be to gain information, to acquire an item, to create or defuse a conflict, or another decently clear and attainable goal that you are pursuing in your submission.
You don't have to achieve that goal, just pursue it.
You may submit narrative, research or suggest another type of submission such as art as appropriate to the goal and the character.
This can include collaborative work if multiple characters are pursuing the same goal.
I will award XP for these submissions based on the quality, creativity and contribution to collective story of the venue.
